This piece stands 4 inches tall and is made of glass. It has a 3.5" wide base with rounded teeth on the edge of the base. The circular base and bulbous shape, which was originally used to cover telephone and telegraph wiring, now makes it the perfect paperweight or decorative piece.
Around the bottom of the insulator it reads Hemingray _ 42 - 0_4 with a dot over the 4 and two dots at the end - The opposite side reads Made In U.S.A. - 20C
It is in great condition and is very clear with no discoloration.
