Standing 5 inches tall, this compote is made of fine pressed glass. This Model Flint Glass Company jelly compote in the Peerless pattern features a round footed base and a generous bowl on top. The clear surface is augmented by a stunning interlacing diamond motif that adds a textural pattern to the outer surface. This pattern is also featured on the footed base. Its scalloped rim is another unique detail that makes this piece so gorgeous. The pattern was introduced circa 1895 and continued to be made after the company became a member of the National Glass Company until the factory was closed in 1902. This piece originally would have a lid but it is not included with ours.
