Marathon Oil Can - 5 Gallons - Vintage 1979

Vintage Marathon 5 Gallon Oil Can. Pictured on the front and back of this can is the classic Marathon "M" with the word Marathon just below it. Printed underneath the logo is the word Products. Then at the bottom of the can it reads "5 U.S. Gallons". On one side of the can it reads: Marathon Oil Company FINDLAY, OHIO 45840. The bottom of the can reads: Central Can Co. Chicago, USA 26 5 79 DOT 37B-60 S T C

The top of the can has a handle that swivels back and forth. One side of the top has a small air hole which still has the plastic cap on it while the other side has the main 2 1/2" opening. The metal screw cap with no center is still on it, however the pour nozzle is missing.

This oil can is in great condition. There are minimal signs of wear, but that just adds to the vintage look. This is a really neat piece that would be perfect for the vintage can/advertising collector or just a great piece to display.
