Indiana Glass Plate - American Bicentennial Amber Carnival - Eagle 1976

This Indiana Glass collectors plate is an ideal way to celebrate the founding of the United States, as well as America's rich history over the past 200 years.

This plate measures 8 inches across and has a traditional circular shape. The glass is a lovely amber color, that features a carnival glass luminescence. The underside of the plate is smooth and matte amber. The entire piece is translucent and allows light to travel through the dish.

The border has an engraved scalloped design around the edge. The center of the plate features an engraving of an eagle with its wings majestically spread. Grasped in it's talons is the American flag, and a banner bearing the phrase "United State Bicentennial" stretches across the bottom of the plate. The top has "1776" and "1976" engraved in bold lettering.
