We have a vintage reproduction of an original Gillinder & Sons "Westward Ho" butter dish. First introduced in the 1880's, this beautiful butter dish was reproduced in 1960. This particular replacement piece's design was also known as "Pioneer and Tippecanoe". It features a 4 inch tall kneeling Indian, the frosted band of the dish is decorated with buffalo, log cabin, stag and doe among mountains and trees, and rising sun. This pattern was inspired by the Centennial and the Western expansion of the US at the time. This piece was previously owned and is in good condition. There is a small "flea bite" (a small nick or manufacturer flaw about the size of a flea's bite, mostly undetectable)on the bottom and the plume is slightly discolored. This item would look right at home on your kitchen table or dinning room sideboard.
