Coca Cola is by far the most famous soft drink brand in the world. It is a brand you will see in the most populated cities like New York City and the most remote parts of the world e.g. the Australian outback. This is because the founders have been on a mission to make it the most valuable and well- known brand in the world since its introduction in 1886.
Coke was first developed in a Georgia-based chemical company by a chemist called John Pemberton. It was then sold as a medically potent drink since it was believed that carbonated drinks improved health. This therefore means that Coca-Cola started enjoying a good reputation right off the bat as people started buying the drinks to cure a myriad of ailments like headaches, addictions, fertility problems and diseases of the nervous system like neurasthenia, stomach upset etc. This initial success allowed the business to grow exponentially until the founders decided to incorporate in 1888 under the name Coca-Cola

Is there anything more beautiful than a production by McCoy Pottery? Since 1910, this company has been making flawless pots, planters, jars, etc. that have delighted people of all ages. However, when you are looking to add to your McCoy collection, you want to make sure that you are getting, well, the “real McCoy!” These tips will help you differentiate real McCoy pottery from the fakes.
Keep an eye out for the logo. Most genuine McCoy products have “McCoy USA” engraved on it. Many fakes only put “McCoy” on their products. Although some fakes might have “McCoy USA” on them, many do not, and this is a very simple way to tell authentic pieces from imitations.
Look for details! McCoy Pottery is known for their attention to the little things, be it vibrant paint colors or the generous glazing. They also make their pieces very detailed. If a piece looks overly simplistic, or features thin paintwork, it is probably a fake.
If you are a collector of China then you most certainly have been in contact with Bone China. But what is Bone China actually? Simply put its a type of China created from a Porcelain that contains Bone Ash and other materials.
Bone China was created in the early 1790's by Josiah Spode who was an English Potter. He further developed a formula originally created by Thomas Frye. Josiah's formulation included 6 parts bone ash, 4 parts china stone and 3.5 parts china clay. The bone ash is created from cattle bones because they have a lower content of iron. This formula is still used as the base for all bone china. Josiah also had great success with his pottery company “Spode” that he founded in 1767 which is still a popular brand.
